1 May 2012 - Ross Environmental Associates, Inc. (R.E.A.) of Stowe, Vermont is pleased to announce that Jim Rose, Stephanie Feuer and Chris Koenig attended the two day training seminar “Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process for Commercial Real Estate” taught by the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM).  ASTM has set the industry standard for completing environmental site assessments.  Most banks and financial institutions require that ASTM guidelines are followed for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for due diligence.  A properly completed Environmental Site Assessment can protect a prospective buyer from potential liability for contamination that may be present on site.

Also, James Gascoyne attended the training seminar “Light Non-aqueous-Phase Liquids (LNAPL): Science, Management, and Technology” presented by the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC) in Boston, MA.  This two day seminar was taught by internationally recognized experts and provided James with the latest strategies for assessment, investigation and remediation of petroleum release sites.  The occurrence of LNAPL at petroleum release sites can effect contaminant migration and complicate remediation.
